I often wish there was a way to cue up a particular song within a post to set the mood on my Instagram account. In this particular case, I just decided to hyperlink to the song Harvest Moon the Luke Sital-Singh version via YT — oh, thank you technology for the assist ;). This is such an incredibly beautiful, simple and raw song. The original is actually by Neil Diamond and I didn’t realize until recently that it was also used in a scene in the movie Eat, Pray Love. So, I encourage you to play this song while reading this piece.
You can bet a month’s wager that inevitably I am the girl sitting next to you on a long haul flight crying based on a movie I am watching. I have had to make jokes about it to neighboring travel cohorts especially when the lights are dimmed and you are busted by a cute male Viking passenger who catches you doing the quick windshield wiper move to remove evidence of the streaming tears. One once asked, “May I offer you a glass of wine, lol.”
I felt like telling him,” Helping me decode the Viking male mind might be a better place to start for me ;)…”
How I even arrived to this place will make for a funny Ted Talk in the future (yes, there will be one for me that I am manifesting–the beauty is I don’t know when but it is within the divine timing). Which brings me to my next point, I have always been a believer in manifesting my work and travel dreams. When I reflect back to the past 3 years, I have had some spectacular work successes along with some pretty incredible adventures but there has always been a small area that has eluded me….LOVE…in the partnership kind. I started allowing my fears to tell me stories recently, “Maybe I am just unlovable, too sassy, not skinny enough, too kind, too honest, too picky, too intense, too old-fashioned…” and the list could go on but the small change that has occurred within me is I have now decided to challenge those old thought processes knowing they are “fake news” powered by fear.
“Everyone visualizes whether “he” knows it or not. Visualizing is the great secret of success.” — Genevieve Behrend
So why not try and manifest the kind of love I want in my world? Prior to reading this book, if you would have asked me what my ideal relationship looked like with my POI (person of interest) or any potential candidate for that matter, I would not have had a clue on how to communicate this. I have taken the time the past couple weeks to reflect on what that scene looks like…I even created a list I look at occasionally to reinforce this world I am creating for myself with exciting balance. It’s focused less on a person and more about how I visualize my life to be and learning to live at a vibrational level as if it exists already in the present moment. Is it easy? Hell no….but, do I have anything to lose and all the possibility of gain? A resounding yes since the status quo would be the epitome of the definition of insanity.
Here are some other key takeaways from the Book Manifesting Love:
- Detach from any outcome. Find peace in where you are now.
- Like in Business, Fear blocks any and all opportunity to expand and grow where loving relationships are concerned.
- What is your relationship with yourself like? That one has to be healed first before you can co-create with someone else. #selflove
- The Gatsby approach — fake it/believe it as if you have everything you have ever wanted in this present moment. Meditate, love yourself, find joy in the smallest of daily details never veering too far ahead knowing that if the world is truly energy then every intention you have placed out into the world will also come to pass when it is meant to and sometimes in a bit of a different twist. #trust #believe
I will end with this thought, our relationship with ourselves will be the single most important journey we take within our lifetimes. Let’s nurture our most valuable asset….ourselves <3
Until next time my lovelies……
